 INFO Ram (Sunil Shetty) is a honest, soft-spoken, and compassionate police inspector in Bombay, India. One day while having soft drinks at a cafe, he does not have enough change for the waitress, Piya (Priya Gill), and quite embarassed by this, he promises to share the proceeds of a lottery with her if he wins. He does win and publicly announces his promise, and this creates problems with his wife, and child. His wife schemes to get the entire lottery winnings for herself, and launches a vicious tirade against her husband, and also files a suit in the court for the lottery winnings as well as for custody of their child, alleging that her husband has been cruel and abusive towards herself.
